Chinese artist immigrate to US?
I’m a comic/manga artist and illustrator from China and I’m eager to move to US to thrive. Is there any way I could immigrate to US as an artist? I know comic book publishers usually hire artist as a freelance which I don’t think qualify for a working visa in US. So is there any other way I can move to US to pursue my career?
well, you can’t move to the US on your own to pursue your career. you’d have to find an employer to sponsor you first and file all the required immigration papers first before you could even apply for a visa. you’re right that you couldn’t get an employment based visa as a freelance artist.
