I made about 28,500 for 2007, I’m not married and I am head of householdand i have a 2 year old child. How much do you think I will get back from federal and state? I make about $640 a week, after taxes I have $489. Just an estimate. Thanks =]
First, this is going to be nothing more than a rough guess because I don’t know how much of your witholding was for federal and how much for state (so I estimated based on the weekly withholding info you provided), I don’t know what state you’re from so I didn’t touch that part of it at all, I’m assuming you don’t have child care expenses as none were mentioned, assuming you are entitled to the child tax credit, that no one else is claiming the child as a dept. and assuming you are eligible for the earned income tax credit. By my software you’d be looking a federal refund of around $4600…IF you had about $5500 withheld in federal taxes. Again, it’s only an estimate with several factors unknown. Don’t go shopping yet!
