Case Coa
Anyone else agree that it is asinine that Microsoft won’t allow you to transfer your COA of an OEM you own
over to a system built out of the components you salvaged from the original system because it died? I still use the HDD and the PCI cards but my MOBO fried. I put a new one in and installed it all in a new case and my WGA update now says I’m running an illegal copy. Microsoft basically doesn’t care. Any help or suggestions on how to convince them I’s still entitled to use this COA and not have to fork out big bucks for another copy of XP Pro?
I think you should write or call Microsoft and tell them exactly that. They should understand and give you a code to make it work.
