Nine British Soliders arrested in Cyprus on a night of drinking?
There are reports that they were out of bounds, and varoius reports from eyewitnesses, Should there be more control on this or are people over reacting?

Michael, you have just reminded me of something, I used to run a pub very close to the Bassingbourn Barracks in Cambridgeshire, the squaddies were regularly out in the local villages and always on good behaviour, it was the officers that used to cause the most grief by expecting us (the landlords) to treat them like we were below them, quite a few local pubs would not encourge them in because it put of the local trade
No Krissy this is not over reacting, the only reason that this has made the news, is that there were nine of them involved.
This is not an isolated incident, burglary, violence, rape and drunken behaviour are all too common from British servicemen in Cyprus.
Ayia Napa is only one place that they are banned from (out of bounds).
I hope that they throw the book at them.
