This place has been there for 140 years, and is still run by the same family who set it up. They even have a street corner named after them. It is a ramshackle collection of quaint buildings that were even shunned by the Luftwaffe when the neighbourhood was blitzed in 1940.
They sell solid furniture at fair prices and live and work modestly with no aspirations to become celebrities.
Isn’t this place an old-fashioned outdated affront to Cool Hip-Hop Britannia? Shouldn’t someone raise an angry mob to burn it to the ground before our corporate image is tainted?
A family business, fair charges, no aspirations of greed and celeb culture, this is an affront my dear fellow, doesn’t quite fit call me dave and Mr fat cats views of the UK. Unless it was an insurance job and they are gonna build 30 new flats on the land.
