Bridge Unc

Do you think I will get accepted to UNC Chapel Hill?
I am currently a junior. I am ranked 6th in my class of 425 and have a GPA of 4.0 (the highest at my school- doesn’t go over that). I haven’t taken the ACT or SAT but I got a 159 on my PSAT and my PLAN test estimated my ACT score would be between 31-34.
I am out of state, but my grandparents, parents, cousin, aunt and uncle all attended school there. My aunt and uncle donate baseball scholarships and have part of the weight room in their name. I know donations and such don’t factor into admissions though.
Outside of school I have a job, work at the animal shelter, volunteer with Big Brother Big Sister, and am in a leadership program called Bridge Builders.
UNC is my dream school, but they only accept 18% from out of state.
Wow- I definately meant to say I got a 195 on my PSAT, not a 159. Sorry!
Your PSAT score is average at best, and is in no way close to a 31-34. A 1590 on the PSAT is like a 1590 on the SAT. The national average is 1550. Your PSAT score corresponds to an ACT score of about 23.
If I were you, I would STUDY STUDY STUDY for your tests, and try to write a really good application essay. Have it proof read by the most difficult english teacher at your school, and make it perfect. Your legacy should help you out, but your low test scores are pulling down your entire application.
