Salzburg does not have any railed trams. It has electric buses that run on tires, but get their power from overhead wires like a tram.
The inner city of Salzburg, as well as Salzburg Castle, is very easy to cover on foot. There is a funicular (slant tram) that goes up castle hill if you don’t want to walk.
