Wasn’t Austria already planning an attack on Serbia before Franz Ferdinand’s assassination?
I’m sure I read it somewhere, and now I can’t find where, that only a few days prior to the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, Austria-Hungary was planning some sort of an attack on them… This is the extent of my knowledge. I’ve spent all morning looking for the website I read it on to no avail. Can anyone help?
Yes it was planned far in advance. The Empire set conditions for Serbia knowing they wouldn’t comply – invasion was a foregone conclusion.
