Perth, Western Australia. Where’s a good place to go for hens night drinks?
Going to moon and sixpence for dinner, i want somewhere fun and a bit different from the usual (tried hula bula bar but the bastards done even let u in if ur in a hens/bucks) any suggestions appreciated! (I’m 23 if that helps the suggestions!,- dont want yucky tacky, but kinda 60′s tacky is OK!)
I’m kinda over Northbridge myself…same ole same ole every week.
I’d be inclined to try a suburban pub near where you all live (if convenient).
You are likely to be able to make arrangements with the publican for a food/drinks package of some sort and have cabs booked to ferry you all back to your place to kick on afterwards.
Most pubs/clubs dont like hens/bucks nights anymore because all they see is a large group of people looking to get smashed moving from venue to venue running amok, and potentially creating problems.
And the last thing you want from a hen’s night is to be explaining to someone why you’ve been arrested if Police become involved…happens frequently in Northbridge!
If you keep it to a suburban venue – the publican is making extra $$$ that they wouldnt normally, you will generally get a bit more leeway with rowdy behaviour than you would otherwise, cheaper drinks, maybe bar snacks etc
Works out a better deal for all concerned…you and the pub!
They may even have a function room you can deck out to suit your tastes!
