Price of a Dodge RAM SRT-10 in USA and price to import to Australia?
Ok so I’m trying to found out how much a used Dodge RAM SRT-10 with 4 doors manual would be in the US right now and also how much it would cost to import it to Australia. Yes i no there is a lot of things that need to be changed like left hand to right hand drive, how ever i already know somebody that can do this for a reasonable price for me. Links to Dealers or Privet owners will be appreciated, im just having a bit of trouble using US websites from here for some reason. Is there a big tax for importing a car from the US ??? some sites ive looked at say the tax is 100% of the cars price almost.
Here in canada an srt 10 can be had for not bad money, im thinking to ship one home to my home town in adelaide wouldnt cost more than about 3000…. Check with your local rego department though cos i know they changed a lot of laws to ensure that skylines and silvias and other late model grey imports were stomped out…. I dont know if this law will affect a dodge truck but yeah they are a lot cheaper stateside even new – like 25000 as opposed to australias version of at least double that. its only a 3000 dollar round trip to the states – even less if your lucky and if you live in the states for 6 months or more you can take the car back as a personal import….
