Australia Dreaming
Ok I had a weird dream that France Attacked New Zealand and Australia retaliated and sunk French destroyers ?
I know it sounds weird but being an Aussie with plenty of Kiwi mates, after several drinks I actually drempt that we declared war on France after they fired missiles upon New Zealand, in retaliation for a Nuclear demonstration and Naval blockage. Glad I was dreaming, but how realistic would this scenario be ? Could we take France in the South Pacific if need be, ie, if they Attacked our “little brother” New Zealand ?
Wasn’t drug induced, just the fact we dislike the French !
That’s an interesting question. I cannot recall France ever fielding an army of any consequence… anywhere. I presume they have a few guys in uniform. But the Germans walked right in during WWII. I don’t think they’ve done much of anything since. They have some people who are willing to fight. The French resistance were pretty effective in helping the Allies. But the French military… I cannot recall ever hearing of them. If my surmise is correct, as long as you didn’t invade France, Australia could probably take them just about anywhere.
But the point is moot. France seems to be pretty isolationist at present. I don’t think they’d go outside their borders to attack anything.
However, in fairness, I think you need a French perspective.
