Briefly why is Coca-Cola so focused on marketing during or in sporting events and does it work?
AFL is only known in Australia. Although it is close to religion here as per capita more australians follow AFL football than say pct of Americans who follow NFL but anyway moving on.

A special coke bottle celebrating 100 years of football. Im not sure how this would increase there sales. Or this special coke edition simply about having the coke name and brand EVERYWHERE also notice coke sponsor NHL and almost every sport I see there is a coke logo.
So why and does it pay off?
Because more people watch some form of sports then anything else… Coke goes for the popular shows. And that definitely pays off.
