Airplane Bronze
Fox .35 Model airplane engine?
So anyway, I perused the local dump today, and look what I found in the aluminum bin… a Fox .35 in so-so condition. It turns over fine (compression feels a little low that I can turn the crank with two fingers), and everything seems tight. The bronze bushing for the crank is completely fine (no wiggle), but the glow plug is shot and the head is battered up pretty well (the muffler mounts are broken clean off as well).
Can anyone tell me about these little engines? What’s the general consensus as to how good they are? Where can I find parts (or would it be worth rebuilding)? Is there any way I could rig a throttle assembly to it (fixed settings on engine as-is)?

According to their site they still make the .35, which costs $75.00 in the 1951 repro model. They should have the things you need.
