What is the value of a South African 2 Rand coin from 1989?
Hi,
I’ve got a coin from South Africa and it sais: “Suid Afrika 1989″ and on the back it sais: “2 Rand” and then there’s a dear-like looking animal next to it.
It’s in pretty decent condition.

Is it made of gold? There was a rumor that S.A. gold rands are worth less
than other gold coins from the world. Not true. It’s value would be the gold
weight.
If it is not gold, it would probably cost more to exchange it than it’s face value.
